Cookie Control cookie banner: speed and features

In our tests with its TanStack Start integration, Cookie Control showed its cookie banner in a median 2.38 s on an emulated mid-tier phone. It delayed the main content by 496 ms (95% interval 488 ms to 524 ms). Accept responded in 24 ms and Reject in 24 ms. It held trackers back in 3 of 4 consent checks. We could not confirm the other check.

On desktop, the banner took 380 ms. Per vendor docs, Cookie Control supports IAB TCF, Google Consent Mode v2, Google CMP certification and Global Privacy Control. We could not confirm IAB GPP.
