# Authentication for CookieBench

CookieBench publishes benchmark results for public, read-only access. You do not need an account, API key, OAuth token or cookie to read its published results, methodology or Markdown pages.

## Read published results

- [Developer quickstart](https://cookiebench.com/developers.md)
- [Published benchmark data](https://cookiebench.com/api/benchmarks)
- [OpenAPI description](https://cookiebench.com/openapi.json)
- [Page index for agents](https://cookiebench.com/llms.txt)

Use HTTP GET for the published data. Request a page with `Accept: text/markdown` or add `.md` to its path. The homepage Markdown is `/index.md`. Public reads do not create benchmark runs or change results.

## Choose the right service

CookieBench is maintained by Inth, the company behind c15t. The Inth CLI manages Inth services and has its own authentication. It does not provide CookieBench benchmark commands. Follow the [Inth CLI getting started guide](https://inth.com/docs/cli/getting-started) for those commands and credentials.

CookieBench does not issue access tokens or provide an OAuth authorization server. There is no registration, token exchange or token revocation step for its public read-only data. Do not send Inth credentials to CookieBench.

## Errors and feedback

An unknown page returns 404. An invalid profile or framework on the JSON API returns 400. Follow the parameter and error definitions in the OpenAPI description when querying the JSON endpoint. Correction reports and vendor suggestions use the website forms and their abuse checks. Public read access does not authorize submitting a report on someone else's behalf.
